Light Needs

Bright indirect light is best to encourage growth of those leaves. No direct sun, especially at midday. So put them by a bright window, but to the side.

How Often to Water

Water when the top 40% of soil is dry, and check them each week. If it gets hot in summer then check them twice a week.

Feed your luxurians a well-diluted nitrogen fertilizer once a month in summer.

When To Repot

Once they outgrow their current pot you can pot them up a size in spring. The roots do not grow really fast so it is not something that you will need to do every year, but you should check them to make sure they will have room to grow in the warmer months.

Humidity

70% or more – anthuriums like this really like humidifiers and high humidity. For anthurium luxurians humidity is important so get a humidity meter and do you your best to keep it high.

Tip: the key is high humidity, this plant is one for a plant cabinet or humidifier. Or you can even use a glass cloche dome for a singular plant.

How To Propagate Anthurium Luxurians

Propagating anthurium luxurians is easiest by root division. Just try to only damage the plant as little as possible when you separate the root balls. Wait for a couple of hours so any wounds heal over. Then plant the pups up separately in their own pots.

They can be toxic to cats or dogs if eaten, and can cause vomiting and other oral irritations, so seek vets advice if you think your pet has eaten any.

Anthurium Radicans Vs Luxurians Difference

The anthurium radicans and luxurians are really similar plants both known for their bullate, blistered-looking leaves. The easiest way to tell them apart is the radicans has much more heart shaped leaves that have a more slender point at the bottom, and the luxurians leaves are more oval and wider.
