Philodendron Goeldii Light Needs

How Often to Water

Check the soil weekly and water it if the top half or more is dry. Do not overwater this plant, they have big sems and leaves and will hold on to a lot of water. After watering it is good practice to tip out any excess water left in the outer container.

Feed them every month in the spring and summer with a balanced plant fertilizer.

Soil

A well-draining soil is essential as they can be susceptible to root rot. A mix of perlite, orchid bark and compost is a good mix.

Humidity

They will thrive if given 60% or more. Up the humidity around the plant if you can by misting or with a pebble tray.

Tip: Keep them humid, at least 60% in the day and they’ll be ok with a bit less at night. You can buy a humidity meter (affiliate link) to keep an eye on maximum and minimum levels.
